The main point of the Book of Ruth is to demonstrate God’s providence and steadfast love. It highlights how God orchestrates events behind the scenes to bring loyalty, redemption, and hope out of tragedy. Ultimately, the book establishes Ruth—a foreigner—as the great-grandmother of King David, tracing the lineage of the Messiah.
