Duncan Road Church - Services

All-Age Service:

This service takes place every sunday morning. It is a relaxed service and suitable for families to attend. The service might consist of singing, short prayers, quiz, DVD, Bible readings and a short talk. Children leave half-way through the service for 'Discovery' Club.

The service starts at 10.30am and lasts for an hour.


This meeting takes place on the first Tuesday of each month at 12.30pm.

Hot meal followed by a Bible-based 'Thought for the day'.
To book your lunch phone 01489 584398 by noon the previous day.

Lunch Club for older people – meet and chat with friends old and new.

Tuesday Tea-Break:

Tuesday Tea-Break is held on the third Tuesday of the month and is open to all.

A variety of activities take place with time for tea, cake and chat.

Housegroups or Prayer & Bible Study:

This get-together takes place every Thursday evening. This is an informal time to study the Bible in a relaxed atmosphere.

The House Groups start at 7.45pm and lasts for one and a quarter hours.

When we have a joint Prayer & Bible Study, this takes place at the Church building. The service includes hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a guest speaker.

We also have communion in the Housegroups on the third Thursday of the month.

Friday Night Live:

During school terms:

6.00pm to 7.00pm: 'Going Live' Children's Club (from year one to year five).
This activity includes games, singing, Bible stories, quizzes, craft and videos.

7.30pm to 9.00pm: 'Livewires' Youth Club (For those in year 6 through to year 10).
This activity is mostly a time of active games and finishes with an epilogue followed by tuck shop.


• A regular coffee morning is held in the locality.

• 'After Church' specials are a time when a visiting missionary or guest speaker can share what they have been involved with. As well as being informative this gives the opportunity to enjoy friendship.

• A monthly inter church men's activity called 'The Net' takes place on the second Tuesday of each month. This activity is ideal for non-church goers to discover more about what Christians believe. The evening normally takes the form of a snooker, quiz, darts evening etc and finishes with a guest speaker.

• Inter church Youth Rallies are held once a month. 'Bodybuilders' for 11-15years old age group.
